PISA TOWER: in 12 Months,
Lean will be reduced by 45 Cm

(AGI)- Pisa, 24 February - "The Leaning Tower is in good health. The work of subexcavation, initiated last Monday, has given the first positive results. All that confirms the reduction of the lean by about 4 centimeters gotten during the preliminary phase. In the next twelve months the final reduction will be 45 centimeters. That will happen, in fact, in late spring, a date that will coincide with the breakup of the Committee." says the president of the Committee of Safeguard, Michele Jamiolkowski, at the end of their scheduled reunion. Until to today, for the work, they have stayed spent around 32 billion lire ($16.8 million US). The figure final for all the intervention of safeguard will be more than 40 billion. The Committee will return to reunite March 31 and 1 April. (AGI)

Tower of Pisa has been Stopped
