Piazza dei Miracoli is a Sundial

(PISA, Italia, 15 June 2000) La Repubblica Giornale (PISA)- The Tower of Pisa is a sundial that is inserted in a cosmic universal clock. Piazza dei Miracoli has a system of sophisticated measurement of time. So thinks Monsignor Silvano Burgalassi, canonical of the Cathedral and teacher of sociology at the University of Pisa. For five years, Burgalassi has noted the points of the sun from dawn to sunset. It is how he has discovered that all the monuments of the plaza, Cathedral to baptistery to Tower, were part of an hourglass that marked all the vital time periods.
